Hi fellow VW'ers, I am a recent convert to the VW family with my wife Marian having previously owned a 77CF Bedford CamperVan. Garry Manley, who I attended the VW Nationals at Napier in 2009 with me and my CF and who is featured in these profiles (and professes to be my mate); well we have only known each other for 37 years so these things take time; posted a Trademe link of an 83 T25 Kombi. To cut a long story short we've had a tidy up of various bits and pieces and had many nights away in it. Our best trip was heading from Wellington to the Coromandel, over to Raglan, across the top to East Coast, down through Gisborne and Napier to the hacienda at Upper Hutt. Great trip and the van performed very well once I ironed out a small problem with the fuel pump. Just some details on the van. 83 T25 Transporter, 1900cc petrol, 4 speed manual with 150,000 miles on the clock. I have already booked in to attend the Nelson Nationals and doing part of the Commemorative trip around the South Island after the Nationals, See you there!
